Another player ofHogwarts Legacyshares an absurd bug they experienced while playing the game, this time showing their in-game characters moving over land but doing swimming motions instead of simply walking or running around. Now that players have had more time exploring most of whatHogwarts Legacyhas to offer, it is not surprising for the title’s fans to experience interesting bugs and issues while adventuring through the Wizarding World.

It has been a couple of months sinceHogwarts Legacywas launched back in February 2023. With the action-RPG having achieved success in the gaming community, the developers have likely turned their focus on efforts to keeping the player base active and engaged. What’s more,Hogwarts Legacyjust released for PlayStation 4and Xbox One. And with a pending launch for the Nintendo Switch later this year, the development team must be busy addressing different gameplay issues, especially if the fan base continues to discover more bugs every time they playHogwarts Legacy.

On Reddit, user JuangaBricks posted a short video clip of theirHogwarts Legacyplayable characterswimming on land instead of water. Obviously caused by a bug in the game, the character is seen doing swimming motions as they move around the small area. Fans will likely recognize the location shown in the footage as the Boathouse that is located somewhere on the school’s grounds. Likely built on top of the Great Lake surrounding the Hogwarts Castle, the Boathouse is surrounded by water, which is probably what triggered the movement bug in JuangaBricks' video.

What is great about the discovery of this particularHogwarts Legacybug is that it does seem to resolve itself when the player keeps their character on the ground for some time. There don’t seem to be any reports of game crashes caused by the issue, which is always a good thing. One reply on the Reddit thread poked fun at the whole situation by posting an image because it is a magical world, there is no need to explain what is happening. However, this goes to show that theHogwarts Legacyteam still has a lot of issuesto resolve in the action-RPG.

WithNintendo Switch version ofHogwarts Legacystill coming later in the year, the devs still have some time to fix any outstanding bugs and issues in the game. Hopefully most of the problems will be resolved, and the new players jumping into the action-RPG will not encounter anything game-breaking in the future.

Hogwarts Legacyis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with a Nintendo Switch version coming November 14.
