New plans have been made forAEW’s televised shows. The up-and-coming wrestling promotion now has an official date for whenDynamitewill switch to a new Turner network.
AEWDynamite, which currently airs on TNT every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, is set to move to a new network in early 2022. TNT also televises AEW’s fellow showRampageevery Friday, but it will not be part of the move.

Beginning on July 28, 2025,Dynamitewill air on TBS. Prior to this date, new episodes ofDynamitewill continue to air on TNT each week. AEW’s latest televised show,Rampage, which debuted on TNT in mid-August, will continue to air on the network Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern Time followingDynamite’s move to TBS. Despite the network switch, AEW will remain on a Turner-owned channel. With TNT and TBS being owned by Turner, AEW has proved itself as an asset worthy of keeping on board. AEW has continued to draw impressive ratings from key demographics, particularly over the past few weeks. For the past four Wednesdays,Dynamitehas been the top-ranked show on cable television for the 18-49 age demographic. On top of that,Dynamiteearned a 0.44 rating in the key demo last week, toppingWWE’sMonday Night Raw, which ended with a 0.43.
By consistently turning out these ratings, AEW has begun to offer meaningful competition for WWE outside of the ring. The rise of AEW’s recent ratings can largely be credited to their heavily rumored signing andeventual debut of CM Punk onRampagein late August. AEW CEO Tony Khan has discussed the positive impact Punk has had on the company, including the buzz he has generated both in and outside of the locker room, and his extensive merch sales. Punk went on to have his first match after a seven-year absence at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view on September 5. His first televised match will occur atRampage Grand Slam.
In addition to Punk, AEW has pulled off the remarkable signings of Ruby Soho, Bryan Danielson,and Adam Cole. All three stars debuted at the All Out pay-per-view, surprising wrestling fans worldwide. Soho went on to compete that night, winning a Casino Battle Royale that gave her a future AEW Women’s Championship match. Danielson, who had not wrestled in a company outside of WWE for nearly eleven years, made his in-ring AEW debut atDynamite Grand Slamagainst Kenny Omega. While Soho and Danielson were not seen on a televised wrestling program months prior to their debuts, Cole signed with AEW following an impressive run in NXT. Cole made his AEW in-ring debut at September 15’sDynamiteand is scheduled to team with the Young Bucks to take on Jurassic Express and Christan Cage atRampage Grand Slam.
Withthe momentum AEW has built, it’s hard to imagine they’ll be slowing down anytime soon. Regardless of which network AEW will air on, the wrestling promotion is guaranteed to draw a large audience. Switching networks allows AEW and its stars to potentially gain additional supporters as they continue to enhance their roster and standing in the world of professional wrestling.
