Adopting a free-to-play, live-service approach, Blizzard has taken a pretty big risk withOverwatch 2, but that risk seems to have paid off already. Withmore players at its peak than the firstOverwatchhad in its entire life,Overwatch 2seems like a success already, but to retain that player-base Blizzard will need to keep serving out new content. It seems as though Blizzard has got the memo though, as the first trailer forOverwatch 2Season 2 has just dropped, teasing a slew of new content, from a new hero, to a new map, to a vast range of new and exciting skins.

Skins have always beenOverwatch’s bread and butter. Long beforeOverwatch 2was charging insanely high prices for individual skins, the firstOverwatchwas encouraging players to buy loot boxes in an attempt to obtain the game’s rarer skins. And withOverwatch 2Season 2 releasing in just a week’s time, on December 6, players will once again be encouraged to dig deep into their pockets to dress their favorite characters in these shiny new skins.

Every New Skin Currently Confirmed for Overwatch 2 Season 2

Overwatch 2Season 2 is going for a Greek God theme, with most of its cast receiving some new skins of Olympian proportions. The biggest standout skin of the teaser trailer is of course Junker Queen’s new mythic skin. Themed after Zeus,Junker Queen’s mythic skinsees her hands and hair imbued with golden energy, lightning bolts stretch across her torso, and sees her wearing a white tunic with golden armor plates. Junker Queen’s weapons have also been given a mythic makeover, with her knife now appearing more regal and golden, and her scattergun having similar gold embezzlements.

Junker Queen’s newOverwatch 2Zeus mythic skin also comes with two additional variants, the first of which swaps out her white tunic for a red one, and changes the golden lightning energy surges to purple. The second variant turns both the tunic and the energy surges blue. Both of these variants also have slight differences in design from the standard mythic skin, with a different headband for each, and slightly different armor plating along Junker Queen’s body.

Further on in the trailer, a slew of new Greek-themed skins are shown off, with Reinhardt, Widowmaker, Roadhog, Pharah, Lucio, andnewcomer Ramattraall getting in on the action. Reinhardt’s skin may just be the best of the bunch, with a complete makeover inspired by the minotaur, giving him an armored bull appearance. Widowmaker’s skin is also very impressive, themed after the infamous Gorgon, Medusa, complete with snake hair and everything. Roadhog is given a cyclops mask, along with a red and brown tunic with plenty of ancient Greek highlights. Lucio’s new skin gives him Hermes' winged helmet and boots, and some shiny new silver armor. Pharah gets to wear a bulky black suit, adorned with three dog heads that spit fire, presumably inspired by the underworld’s Cerberus. Finally, Ramattra’s skin turns his staff into a trident, and paints his whole body blue, being themed after the sea god himself, Poseidon.

Earlier on in the trailer, a few more skins were shown off for some ofOverwatch 2’s heroes. Not really keeping with the Greek theme, Tracer, Echo, Ana, and Symmetra will all get new skins in Season 2. Tracer’s skin seems to be inspired by a Victorian paperboy, with old slacks, a shirt, a cap, and glasses. Echo’s new skin gives her multicolored wings. Symmetra’s skin gives her an all-new black look, with shades and a new haircut. And Ana’s skin puts her in safari gear, which is a common trend forOverwatchskins.

Right at the end of theOverwatch 2Season 2 trailer, fans can get their first look at some of the upcoming Holiday-themed skins, including both Christmas and the Lunar New Year. Bastion is given a gingerbread man makeover while Echo’s Holiday skin dresses her as a shining angel. Brigitte is also given a Holiday-themed skin, dressing her as the Snow Queen, with blue icicles framing her armor. For the Lunar New Year, Mei is getting a new rabbit-themed skin.

Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
