Despite the pre-order barrier to entry,New World’spre-release beta proved extremely successful for the company. According to the developers, it became one of the most popular titles on Steam, and players logged over 25 million hours in the game. As these numbers suggest, the fanbase seems extremely excited to play more of the MMORPG.
While the game has enjoyed widespread success in its pre-release tests, there are those that have been skeptical of the title.
