Anime Expo is the biggest stage in the world of anime and manga, and every big player in the industry has been making moves toannounce their biggest news.
One of the most exciting sets of announcements came from Viz Media. The manga and anime giant took this weekend to unveil new details on its hottest titles as well as big new acquisitions and promotions.

Bleach: New Anime Arc and Digital Anime Sale
The legendary shonen mangaBleachhad a strong presence at the publisher’s industry panel, focused around the announcement that the anime’s “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc is set have its Viz English-language localization coming soon. The panelincluded a special videomessage fromBleachmangaka Tite Kubo, in which the author reminisced the sentimental value of this arc being written for the manga concurrently with the original release of theBleachanime. In addition, Viz recently unveiled a world-premiere trailer for the arc:
In addition to the “Thousand-Year Blood War Arc,” Viz’s celebration ofBleachfeatured a flash-sale for digital copies of the anime. The entire original anime series ofBleach(366 English-dubbed episodes across 13 seasons) is now available for a special pricing of $99 from July 5–7. The sale is currently live on Apple TV, the Microsoft Store, and the VUDU app.

Chainsaw Man: Manga Return Announcement
The smash-hit action mangaChainsaw Manhas also been announced by Viz for a new localization installment right around the corner. Created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the new volume ofChainsaw Manis set to be released on July 12. The first 11 collected volumes of the series are available nowon Viz’s website.
Rooster Fighter: A New Manga Where a Fowl Saves the World
While iconic shonen properties were the core of Viz’s announcements, there was also anall-new announcementthat seems, quite literally, for the birds. The 2020 web manga,Rooster Fighter, has been confirmed for digital and print localization by Viz. An all-new trailer unveiling the idiosyncratic action-comedy has been released:
Set in a sci-fi post-apocalypse,Rooster Fighterfollows the story of a Rooster who finds himself to be the key to saving the world. The new trailer certainly captures the unashamedly absurd concept of the series, which has been a smash-hit online globally and in Latin-American markets in particular. The localization is currently set for this August, with new details coming soon.
