While typically heard insideBaldur’s Gate 3describing the action on screen or the results of a dice roll, Amelia Tyler has been adding a trio of videos over the past few weeks showcasing what happens when voice acting goes off the rails. As one might expect, the outtakes and bloopers during recording sessions can get pretty hilarious, with Amelia calling the outtakes a “rapid descent into gibbering madness.” The videos feature parts of the recording sessions that likely won’t be in the game including things like random sound effects, reactions to certain lines and crazy sounding fantasy names, and plenty of hilarious one-liners, retorts, and other bits.
Reactions to the videos have been incredibly positive, with fans enjoying the behind the scenes look. There are more than a few comments of players who want specific outtakesmodded intoBaldur’s Gate 3, especially for those times when a dice roll doesn’t quite go as planned. However, many agreed that even though these are outtakes, they loved the energy and style Amelia brought to the sessions as the voice lines are a ton of fun to listen to.
Even though the core experience is fairly long, fans are hoping to hear more of Amelia through some sort of eventual DLC expansion. Odds may not currently be great asBaldur’s Gate 3director Swen Vinke mentioned that the studio wasn’t working on any future content for the game, though with how well it has been received, plans could change. In fact, some have already made the case as towhy an expansion could be good forBaldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3is available now on PC, with a PS5 release on September 6 and an Xbox launch to follow.
