Thankfully, it’s not too difficult to uncover the resistance and the treasures it’s guarding. To better help players in finding theSelunite Resistance in BG3and unlocking the goodies they hoarded, the following guide has been updated with a video.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Investigate the Selunite Resistance Quest Walkthrough
Start
Players can initiate the Investigate the Selunite Resistance quest by reading a note that is within achestlocated at theabandoned potter’s workshop. More specifically, that chest is at coordinatesX:-54 Y:12, and it can be opened easily through lockpicking.

Investigate Last Light Inn
Upon reading the aforementioned note,Baldur’s Gate 3playerswill be instructed to investigate the Last Light Inn, and this important location can be foundnorthof the abandoned potter’s workshop. While it is likely that many fans will have already visited the Inn, here is a map that showcases its position for the sake of full clarity:
After arriving atBaldur’s Gate 3’s Last Light Inn, players should use the exterior stairs to access the main building’slower level. Fans should then pass through thedoorat coordinatesX:-49 Y:144to enter theCellar.
Players should now walk forward, enter thefirst room on their right, and grab theLast Light Detention Cell Keyfrom the table. This key can be used to pass through theCage Doorthat is on thesouth sideof the room, andCRPGfans should destroy theCracked Wallthat is behind the boxes in the cell and head through the hole that they have created.
After lockpicking the door that is beyond the Cracked Wall, players should travelnorthwardand dispatch theMeenlocksthat they encounter. Players should then readHalfred’s Note, which is sitting atop the altar in front of the statue at X:34 Y:-695, to receive their next quest objective.
Halfred’s Note is a destructible object, and players that do not see it atop the altar may have accidentally destroyed it during the Meenlock encounter.
Investigate the Masons' Guild
Baldur’s Gate 3’s Masons' Guildis situated just north of the Reithwin Town Waypoint, and it can be entered through its front door atX:-112 Y:-5. Upon entering the Guild, players should make their way to the west side of the main room and use theOrnate Wooden HatchatX:-124 Y:26.
Fans should now head to thenorthwest wallin the small room that they have entered and hope to reveal aKeyholed HeraldatX:123 Y:-691with a Perception check. That object can belockpickedto create an opening in the wall, and players should then headsouthwardand dispatch theShadowsandWraithsthat they encounter.
With the enemies slain, players should read theMason’s Logthat is sitting atop the table atX:108 Y:-749. This action will cause the Investigate the Selunite Resistance quest to be marked as complete, and fans should feel free to explore the Masons' Guild more thoroughly before continuing to work throughBaldur’s Gate 3’s second act.
