True Love’s Caress & True Love’s Embrace Effect In Baldur’s Gate 3
Players who read the tooltips for these two rings will be led to believe that the wearer of True Love’s Caress will be able to castWarding Bondon the wearer of True Love’s Embrace once perLong Rest inBaldur’s Gate 3. For the uninitiated, that Level 2 Abjuration spell allows a caster to give an ally resistance to all damage as well as +1 to AC and Saving Throws. There is a drawback to using Warding Bond, though, as all damage taken by the ally is also applied to the caster.
That said, the effect that is provided by the True Love’s Caress and True Love’s Embrace rings actually appears to be a modified version of Warding Bond called"Gentle Warding Bond.“Unlike the standard spell, this variant does not grant bonus damage resistance, AC,and Saving Throws to the target, and it only causes the damage that the ally takes to be copied onto the caster. This makes these rings not particularly useful, though players who enjoy the lore and world-building in video games may find them interesting nonetheless.
