The main mode in the game pits a group of four survivors against a team of demons. The two forces battle it out. One trying to vanquish the demons back to hell and the other trying to make sure Earth is theirs for the taking,Evil Dead: The Gamedoesn’t introduce anything new to the survival horror multiplayer genre. It could usea few tweaks to become thebestEvil Deadgamefans have been waiting for and these are just a few suggestions.
8Add Performance And Visual Modes
Most games on the modern consoles allow players to focus on their experiences. For example, performance modes typically favor a steady frame rate whereas a graphics mode would help bolster how the game looks.
There are no graphical options set up in the menu forEvil Dead: The Game. The only thing players can change in the video options is the Gamma levels. That can help a little but it’s not the same thing. This issue is strictly for the console side of things. It would be great to see some more video options pop into the game with an update.

7Add More Modes
One of the biggest challenges facingEvil Dead: The Gameis its staying power. This contrasts its greatest asset, whichwould be crossplay. There are two ways to play. Thesingle-playerwill take gamers on solo missions for one level. Themultiplayeroptions have a few different ways to set up a session between favoring a live co-op party or AI.
However, there is only one mode in multiplayer and that will have players trying to stop demons from taking over. There is an opposite side to that which has a player take over demons to fight against the survivor group.Evil Dead: The Gamedesperately needs more modes and maps to keep players glued longer.

6Add A Jump
There is no jump button inEvil Dead: The Game, be it in multiplayer or single-player sessions. There is a vault option, though; for example, PS4 and PS5 users will use the trianglebutton on the controllerto hop over fences. This vault button doesn’t always appear even when it seems obvious though.

A player might be able to logically place their feet over a small mound Blocking their way. However, as long as the vault prompt doesn’t appear, they will have to go around. A jump button would solve this issue.
5Add A Photo Mode
It is understandable why the developer didn’t put a photo mode into the multiplayer portion of the game. However, since there is a single-player mode, they should have allowed it to appear there. The multiplayer section does have a way for players to play a match with all AI companions. Photo mode would make sense in that context as well.
How cool would it be to snap a photo ofAsh cutting a demon in halfwith his chainsaw arm? If the developer put in a photo mode, players could find out.

4Single-Player Improvements
The single-player portion ofEvil Dead: The Gamehas more problems than just a lack of a photo mode. Since they are solo adventures, this means players won’t get a hand from co-op buddies, and the game does not scale to match this change.
There are no checkpoints, difficulty levels, or assist options to speak of. Photo mode getting added into single-player would be nice, but fans might appreciate some checkpoints or assist options more. These solo missionscan be too hard otherwise.

3Add Player Names In The Field
The most important thing players should do in a co-op title likeEvil Dead: The Gameis stick to their fellow survivors. Players can see where their teammates are on the mini-map via their head icons. However, finding them in the game proper is another story. Theygot Bruce Campbellfor crying out loud. They could have used him better along with the rest of the returning cast.

They don’t have their names appear above their heads like in other multiplayer games. This makes it hard to distinguish friend from foe especially since the game tends to be darker. Even a skeleton demon can look like a friend sometimes.
2Driving Could Be Tighter
Getting a vehicle is an easy way to stayclose to friends/teammates. Most cars in the game allow all four players to jump in. This will keep everyone involved safe as well. There is a problem with this, though, because the driving controls are not tight.
Evil Dead: The Gamewas not designed to be a racing game. It doesn’t need to have the best driving controls on the planet, but they should at least not feel like players are driving around the air. The developer can hopefully tweak the controls in a patch.

1Pick Up All Ammo Automatically
There isa lot of lootplayers can pick up in the game. from consumables to weapons. Guns naturally need ammo. If a player picks up a shotgun for their ranged weapon, shotgun ammo will automatically be picked up. This can save a lot of time. However, all other ammo types must be manually picked up.
It would be more convenient if the developer changed this so that all ammo types would be picked up automatically. They should also loosen up the weight restrictions and allow players to carry more, be it ammo or health-restoring items like soda.

Evil Dead: The Gamewas released on July 01, 2025 and is available onPC,PS4,PS5,Xbox One, andXbox Series X.
