Gearbox announced thatBorderlands3would have a free-to-play weekend for the gamers who haven’t had a chance to purchase and play the game. Starting November 21st,Borderlands 3will be available for most of those who want to try it out, but it’s not available for everyone.
Borderlands 3is the newest game in theBorderlandsuniverse, released on September 13th, 2019. This massive action role-playing first-person shooter has been a massive success for Gearbox Software and 2k Games. But the devs want to ensure that just about everyone who hasn’t gotten a chance to play can at least give it a try the weekend of the 21st.

In this week’s episode ofThe BorderlandsNewson YouTube, this free-to-play weekend was announced. AsBorderlands3’s Halloween event,Bloody Harvest, is coming to an end, players are starting to look for whatever is coming next. Lucky forBorderlandsfans, there’s plenty on the horizon that was talked about inThe Borderlands News, including some new free DLC, the first paid DLC expansion, and this free-to-play weekend for console owners.
The weekend starts on November 21st, 2019 and ends November 24th, 2019, but only for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. PC and Google Stadia will not be included in this free-to-play weekend, apparently. Why PC was left out wasn’t mentioned byThe Borderlands Show,unfortunately. Google Stadia does haveBorderlands 3, but also won’t feature the free-to-play weekend, morebad news piled onto Stadia’s other launch problems. Great news for console players, not such good news for those who prefer keyboard and mouse. If players really love it,Borderlands 3is also on sale this week on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
This free-to-play weekend is some great promotion for the newMoxxi and Handsome Jack DLCthat was also announced on the same episode ofThe Borderlands Show. This will be great for those who have been looking to get into the game but wanted to try before buying. Free-to-play weekends are good for both gamers and devs, and many players will find out that there is so much to love about3.
