Call of Dutyoutlet Charlie Intel recently revealed that Precision Airstrikes will show their attack path inWarzoneSeason 2. The account confirmed the news with a video shared by Raven Software showing a player that’s in the path of a Precision Airstrike. The path is highlighted by an elongated red bubble on the mini-map which has arrows in it that specify the killstreak item’s trajectory. As the two enemy planes fly across the map, their onslaught is emphasized by the player’s screen shaking and filling with damage effectsfamiliar to otherCall of Dutygames. Although there isn’t much time to avoid the attack, the mini-map adjustment may help Season 2 players narrowly escape death.

While Raven Software confirmed the Precision Airstrike change as a quality-of-life feature, some players suggest that it nerfstheCall of Duty: Warzonekillstreak item. Currently, the only way for players to know if an airstrike is coming their way is with a call-out from their soldier and the noise of the planes approaching. Ducking for cover in an Urzikstan building may still be the best way of avoiding an airstrike, but players out in the open may also be able to run to either side of the trajectory to dodge them as well. As it’s being introduced inWarzoneSeason 2, the quality-of-life feature may still be altered in the future based on feedback.

Because Raven Software and Infinity Ward are making the Precision Airstrikes more visible, other killstreaks may have similar mini-map indicators in the future. As these airstrikes can cause instant kills, the UI adjustment may make these encounters easier to deal with. Given that the quality-of-life change is coming afterCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 1concludes, players will be waiting a few weeks before experiencing it for themselves.
