Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer Gets Rave Review From Important Source

In an interview withTara Hitchcock, Nolan revealed how Pattinson playeda part in him makingOppenheimer. Pattinson was in Nolan’s last filmTenet, which references the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer. As a wrap gift, Pattinson gave Nolan a book of Oppenheimer’s speeches from the 1950s. Nolan said, “You’re reading these great intellects trying to deal with the massive consequences of the way in which they’ve changed life forever, for all of us.”

Although Pattinson helped inspire Nolan to make the film, he is not a part of the star-studded cast. Nolan said this was because Pattinson “was busy” and “very much in demand these days.” Pattinson, who plays the caped crusader inThe Batmanand its upcoming sequel, was also cast in the serial killer comedyAverage Height, Average BuildandBong Joon-ho’s sci-fi filmMickey-17, which comes out in 2024. It’s fair to say that Pattinson has been busy with other projects.

Pattinson won’t be in the film, butOppenheimeris still packed with other stars. The cast includes Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, and more. Along with its many stars, the film has already been well-reviewed. Aftera successfulOppenheimerCinemaCon screening, Nolan said, “I know of no more dramatic tale with higher stakes, twists and turns, and ethical dilemmas."

Along with the overwhelming weight of tragedy that the film is about, the details surroundingOppenheimerhave helped grow the anticipation. The IMAX film reel is 11 miles long and weighs 600 pounds, while it is also reported that there will be no CGI in the film, and the nuclear blast will be recreated through practical effects that audiences can “feel” in the cinema.
