All three classics will be played on select screens in the US, brought to life by Showcase Cinemas.

Fans can now celebrate Batman Day and watch Bale’s performance as the Caped Crusader on the big screen again. In an official announcement on Twitter, Showcase Cinemas revealed that theDark Knighttrilogy will play on select screens for one day only on September 16. The trilogy includes 2005’sBatman Begins, 2008’sThe Dark Knight, and2012’sThe Dark Knight Rises. Participating screens will seemingly have the films playing in consecutive time slots, allowingBatmanfans to have a movie marathon.

Batman Day is an annual celebration to commemorate the iconic character, which takes place on the third Saturday of September. Every year, there are announcements related toBatmanfilms, and this year’s main highlight seems to betheDark Knighttrilogy. For the longest time,The Dark Knightwas Warner Bros.' highest-grossing film at the domestic box office. However, the Oscar-winning film was recently dethroned by Greta Gerwig’sBarbie.The Dark KnightandThe Dark Knight Risesare still on Warner Bros.' list of top 10 highest-grossing films globally.

Nolan’s depiction of the Caped Crusader was unique. He reintroduced fans to the hero inBatman Beginsand converted Gotham into a dark, bleak city. Bale’s performance as the hero was commended by fans and critics, especially for including emotional complexity in the character. However, some fans did complain about Bale’s voice and how it didn’t quite match up to the character they had gotten used to seeing. WhenThe Dark Knightwas released, fans couldn’t stop praisingHeath Ledger for his portrayal as Joker, for which he won a posthumous Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.
