An artist andPokemonfan called Biifolio has decided to recreate some very iconic creatures by taking inspiration from some of thebest magical anime girls. The first design is inspired by a mixture of Vulpix with Hikaru Shidou from theMagic Knight Rayearth. It transforms the Fire-type Pokemon into a small humanoid animal with a magical girl’s dress. The second design fuses Skitty with Ichigo Momomiya, the main character fromTokyo Mew Mew, combining the two cat-like characters by taking Ichigo’s dress and Skitty’s head and tail shape. Another drawing combines Spoink with Kassie Carlen fromSuper Pig.
The other images fused Jiggypuff with Minako Aino fromSailor Moon, Teddiursa with Doremi Harukaze fromOjamajo Doremi, Audino with Sakura fromSakura Card Captors, Sylveon with Kaname fromPuella Magi Madoka Magica, Buneary with Usagi Tsukno fromSailor Moon, and Brionne with Hanon Hosho fromMermaid Melody Pichi Pichi. Self-described as an illustrator who specializes in cute illustrations, Biifolio has done other work regardingPokemon, too, such as desktop icons inspired by all the Eeveelutions, for instance.
Another recent unofficial crossover betweenPokemonand a famous franchise was recently done by an artist called Troytheartboy. The artistredesigned Pokemon by using the character style ofLilo and Stitch, making alternative versions for Sneasel (including its original and variant form), Weavile, Heracross, Hypno, Mawile, Wigglytuff, and Poliwrath. All of the Pokemon retained their most important features while featuring Stitch-inspired faces. One design that really stood in Troytheartboy’s latest collection out was Heracross, which resembled a mixture of a frog and a weird bug due to its new face.
