Warlord’s Ruin,Destiny 2’sdungeonfor Season of the Wish, takes players through three epic and action-packed boss fights. The third encounter culminated with Hefnd’s Vengeance, a creature which repeatedly appears throughout the dungeon’s previous parts as a teaser. The final boss fight of Warlord’s Ruincombines the capture point and Imminent Wish mechanics from the previous two encounters but adds another layer of chaos with the Hex of Vengeful Corruption, as well as the staggered DPS phases that have players climbing the floating islands of the arena. Here’s how guardians candefeat Hefnd’s Vengeance in Warlord’s Ruin.
Defeating Hefnd’s Vengeance, Blighted Chimera – Final Boss Of Warlord’s Ruin
Shooting the Taken blight orb in the middle starts the encounter, but before that, take note of the floating platforms and islands that circle upwards. These mark the different zones for this boss encounter, so get ready to stay mobile in between phases.
Hefnd spawns with a bunchof Taken enemiesand several Taken eyes and blight orbs. Get rid of them all. Scorn will also spawn in, withthe yellow-bar chieftainsthat players should be well acquainted with by now from the previous encounter.

Killing one of them spawnsyet another capture point and begins the Imminent Wish timer. Again, within this timer, players should kill all Scorn minibosses and capture all the points they can to get the most out of their DPS phase, similar to the fight with the Locus of Wailing Grief.
However, there is a catch. When one chieftain is killed, players will all earn a timed debuff: Hex of Vengeful corruption. A message will also appear on the left side of the screen:Your fists bear corruption. Strike your foes or be consumed. Scorn enemies carrying torches namedCorrupted Hex-Drinkerswill have spawned on the arena, andthe player must melee them in order to transfer this debuff to the enemy. But be warned: if the enemies hit the player again, the debuff is returned. If the timer on the debuff runs out, the player dies.

Once the Imminent Wish timer runs out, players will earn the Naeem’s Wish Empowerment buff and Hefnd becomes damageable. The damage window is extremely small if only one point is captured, so it’s absolutely key to capture as many as possible while being mindful of the Corruption debuff. After the DPS phase ends, the next phase begins on the next island, so players should jump across and repeat the same process. Sometimes, if enough health isn’t chipped from Hefnd, they will have to replay another round in that part of the arena.
At the top of the arena, players will be able to damage the boss freely in each third of the zone. This phase starts with the message “Hefnd’s blight bleeds into the Keep!”. After a few seconds of damage, that part of the arena will become covered in blight, forcing players to move.Well of Radiance or some form of protection and healingis necessary here, since Hefnd will keep on spawning Taken eyes that will chip away at the player’s health. It’s not necessary to kill them, but sustaining them can be difficult. Precision weapons work well here as well, so sniper rifles andlinear fusion riflesreign supreme.

Note thattaking down his eyes at the top of the arenawill extend the damage phase in each third of the zone.
Once players reach the last bar of its health, they will be teleported to a final stand arena, where Hefnd can be finished off. This is where the final chest also appears.
