By completing various objectives,Destiny 2players may ascend from the basic New Light rank to the prestigious Paragon rank. Bungie has already begun to make changes to Guardian Rank objectives in recent weeks, and the most recent change involves requirements for Strike-based objectives.RELATED:Destiny 2 Leak Shows How Leveling Could Change in Season of the DeepBungie confirmsDestiny 2’sGuardian Rank objectives for Legend, Master, and Grandmaster Nightfall Strike scores have been updated today. First, the Legend Score Guardian Rank objective now requires players to obtain a score of 115,000 instead of 130,000 in a Legend Nightfall strike. The Nightfall Score objective for the Vanquisher Guardian Rank has also been updated, requiring the player to obtain a reduced score of 180,000. Moreover, Destiny 2 players attempting to complete the Score Grandmaster objective for the Exemplar Guardian Rank should now aim for a score of 210,000 instead of 230,000. Alongside these Guardian Rank changes, Bungie announced the score multiplier forthe Lake of Shadows Strikehas been increased to 1.0x.
Morechanges to Guardian Rank objectiveswere not announced today by Bungie, so players must still complete the other objectives with its current requirements to move on to the next Guardian Rank. For example,Destiny 2players must complete a Legend Nightfall strike with Platinum rewards, which requires all Champions to be defeated. Fortunately, the new Legend Score objective is much easier to complete while attempting to complete a Legend Nightfall Strike.
These Guardian Rank changes should help newerDestiny 2players complete objectives for these high-level Strike activities. Before these changes were made, someDestiny 2players believed that the original Nightfall score requirements were too high. These score requirements caused frustration for those who already complete high-level Nightfall Strikes each week but were unable to meet the required score.
Bungie will likely make more changes to Guardian Rank objectives asDestiny 2players continue to give their feedback online.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
