Summary

Destiny 2has an arsenal of over 900 weapons, but many of those are vaulted (AKA sunsetted). Players are always longing to recoversome of the best weaponrythat Bungie decided to retire from active duty, and some of these weapons would make great candidates for a reprising or rework.

This list contains some highly-requested vaulted weapons that theDestiny 2community would love to see returning to their former glory. Some of them go way back to the earlier seasons and some are relatively recent, but all of them have the raw potential required to be part of The Final Shape meta.

Breachlight Destiny 2 Sidearm

10Breachlight

Season Of Dawn Sidearm

Breachlight debuted during Season Of The Dawn, and ever since, players have deemed it one of the best Sidearms in the history ofDestiny 2. Its Aggressive Burst Frame, along with its considerably powerful Impact Stat (56), has made it a PvP fan favorite.

Unfortunately, this weapon has been vaulted, like most of the Season Of The Dawn & Sun Dial rewards. It has become one of the highly-requested armaments for a reprising, and since Into The Light has broughtsome of the vaulted weapons back, players still hope for its return.

Ether Doctor Destiny 2 Auto-Rifle

9Ether Doctor

Season Of The Outlaw Auto Rifle

Ether Doctor was one of the world drop rewards during Season 4 ofDestiny 2, and though at first players were more focused on all that juicy Forsaken Content, they soon discovered they had a raw diamond in their hands.

This 600 RPM Auto Riflebecame the meta for the seasonand sowed terror in PvP matches for 2 seasons in a row. It was later taken out of the drops and replaced by other weapon rotations. Ether Doctor never came back, and when the sunsetting happened in February 2021, fans of this Auto Rifle lost all hope to enjoy its unique rapid-fire bursts.

West of Sunfall 7 Destiny 2 Hand Cannon

8West Of Sunfall 7

Curse Of Osiris Hand Cannon

The legendary West Of Sunfall 7 Hand Cannon was one of the best pieces of weaponry the players ever handled, and this Secondary Void Energy weapon left its mark as a balanced PvP/PvE option.

Still, with the passing of the seasons, players have seen several versions of this weapon disguised as Crucible and Gambit Rewards. It is said that West Of Sunfall 7 was the blueprint for weapons like Palindrome, Better Devils, and Bottom Dollar. However, this weapon had great impact/precision/recoil ratioand a brutal aim assist. So, no wonder it was sunsetted, as it was broken.

Steelfeather Repeater Destiny 2 Auto-Rifle

7Steelfeather Repeater

Season Of Dawn Auto Rifle

The Steelfeather Repeater was a 720 RPM Legendary Auto Rifle that debuted during Season of Dawn and was the first auto rifle to have the Swashbuckler and Feeding Frenzy Perks. Needless to say, this combination was incredibly effective in destroying huge waves of enemies.

These perks allowed a fast automaticto become a mob shredding machine: As the intensity of combat scaled up, so did the damage output of this weapon, and that allowed it to clear swarming Rank & File enemies and Orange Bar enemies with ease.

The Old Fashioned Destiny 2 Hand Cannon

6The Old Fashioned

Season Of Dawn Hand Cannon

The Old Fashioned was a respectable addition to the PvP arsenal duringDestiny 2Season 9. Thoughmany players preferred it for PvE activities(with the Feeding Frenzy/Explosive Payload perks), this weapon is primed for Crucible, and players eagerly await its reprising.

After the sunseting of this weapon, many other 140 RPM Hand Cannons had their moment of glory, but none surpassed the raw potential this weapon had. This beauty had impeccable recoil and considerably high Aim Assistance (65), pairing perfectly with Slideshot to create the ultimate slide-n-kill experience.

Redrix’s Broadsword Destiny 2 Ritual Pulse Rifle

5Redrix’s Broadsword

Season Of The Outlaw Pulse Rifle

Redrix’s Broadsword Pulse Rifle was one of those weapons that stay in the heart of every PvP fan. With considerable firepower and a great combination of accuracy, recoil, and aim-assist, this weapon saw its time of glory between seasons 4 and 5. Then, the main attractive of this weapon the Desperado perk, got considerably nerfed, and the Broadsword fell from grace.

With the launch of Into The Light, many players have theorized that this weapon could make a glorious return just before The Final Shape launches. We have seen former ritual weapons likeThe Recluse, Luna’s Howl, and The Mountaintop being reprised, so it wouldn’t be so strange to see Redrix’s Broadsword making a glorious comeback.

Perfect Paradox Destiny 2 Shotgun

4Perfect Paradox

Season of Dawn Shotgun

The Perfect Paradox Shotgun debuted duringDestiny 2Season 9 as Saint-14’s signature weapon and became an iconic piece of the Guardians' arsenal. Its all-rounder stats, powerful/reliable Rapid-Fire Frame, and great Perks made it atop-notch Shotgun for PvE activities.

Some Guardians even used it for Crucible matches, but it was better suited for destroying hordes of Taken and Hive, not for PvP action. Since its vaulting, many players have requested for it to come back as a Deepsight-Craftable weapon, but so far, Bungie has given no signals of making this beast great again.

Mindbender’s Ambition Destiny 2 Shotgun

3Mindbender’s Ambition

Season Of Defiance Shotgun

One of the highly requested vaulted weapons is the Mindbender’s Ambition, a powerful, hard-hitting Shotgun that became a versatile option for both PvE and PvP activities.

The Mindbender’s Ambition was a Nightfall weapon andfarming it was quite tricky. So, many players are still desiring to possess one of these beauties with curated Rolls. Still, since it has been vaulted, we will have to wait and see if this Shotgun will return as an Adept weapon or at least a reprised version on next season’s Nightfall rotations.

Patron of Lost Causes Destiny 2 Scout Rifle

2Patron Of Lost Causes

Season Of Dawn Scout Rifle

Combinehigh fire rate, tremendous damage, and precision, and you get the best Season 9 Scout Rifle called Patron of Lost Causes. It had a great combination of perks, but the Explosive Payload perk was always preferred for its reliable extra damage. This incredible weapon dominated the PvP matchmaking during the whole season and went beyond until it finally got sunsetted.

But many players believe Saint-14’s Arsenal weapons will return eventually, perhaps to Dares of Eternity reward rotation. If so, it wouldn’t be so strange to see this Scout Rifle dominating the Crucible scenarios sooner or later.

Galliard -42XN7 Destiny 2 Auto-Rifle

1Galliard-42XN7568

Season Of The Forge Auto-Rifle

The Galliard-42XN7568 Auto-Rifle was one of thefirst craftable weapons inDestiny 2.Black Armory weapons like the Galliard-42XN7568 had true potential and Guardians were swarming the Forge trying to get their God Rolls. The Galliard was also one of the few weapons that had Sights instead of Barrels in its rolls, which made it quite unique.

This weapon shone brightly in the Crucible matches, and with the Outlaw/Rampage perk combo, it became a notorious killing machine. Ever since this weapon became vaulted, only a few Solar Energy Auto-Rifles have gotten close to its raw power, two of them being the Ammit AR2 and the infamous exotic Tommy’s Matchbox.
