With BlizzCon 2019 rapidly approaching, many fans are speculating as to what Blizzard has in store for their big convention next month. While some fans speculate thatOverwatch 2may make its debutat the show, diehard Blizzard fans are anxiously awaiting the next core installment in theDiablofranchise. Thankfully, if a recently leaked magazine ad is to be believed,aDiablo4announcement may be closer than many fans realize.
While this news should be taken with a grain of salt as it is still a leak, the image in question comes from the magazine Gamestar, based out of Germany. The ad in question is for “The Art of Diablo” - an art book releasing early in November which will feature art from theDiablofranchise. The text of the add roughly translates to “…with over 500 artworks fromDiablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 3,andDiablo 4"and clearly one of these things is not like the others. Whether this was a typo or not is currently unknown, but if it is real thenDiablo 4is on the way.

There is, of course, a chance that the image may be referring to thecontroversialDiablo Immortalmobile game, though chances are the ad would have specifiedImmortalinstead ofDiablo 4. There is also a good chance that it may feature early concept art of the game, or work from scrapped early version that never made it far in development. Chances are that fans will have to wait until BlizzCon to find the truth there.
With all thecontroversy surrounding Blizzard at the moment, and withDiablofans still upset aboutDiablo Immortal, Blizzard may be gearing to announce some information aboutDiablo 4to appease some fans. The game has been rumored to be in development for quite a while, and while Blizzard has continued support forDiablo 3for some time, many fans are anxious to see a new installment in the franchise.
If another leak is to be believed, then Blizzard may be announcingDiablo 4at Blizzcon alongside aDiablo 2remaster. While these have been just leaks, and should not be taken as straight facts, if they are legit thenDiablofans have a lot to be excited for when Blizzcon 2019 rolls around next month.
