After months of anticipation,Call of Duty: Vanguard, the newest installment in the series, launched on November 5. While many fans of the franchise were excited to have a newCall of Dutygame to check out, the gameplay disappointed many other players, such asYouTube streamer Dr Disrespect.

During a stream on November 5, Dr Disrespect decided to playCall of Duty: Vanguardwith fellow YouTube streamers, TimTheTatman and ZLaner. While the gaming session started with the Doc being pumped to check out the gameplay, his hype surrounding the game quickly diminished. As the hours passed, he became more frustrated with the game. The situation became so bad that the popular streamer at one point began to rage. After dying and subsequently being respawned, he yelled, “ Go! Go! Go! Lose brain cells!”
After trying to stick withCall of Duty: Vanguardfor several hours, Dr Disrespect couldn’t take it anymore and shutdown down the game. “Yep. I’m done,” he said. After a brief moment, he continued, “that was awful.” It seemed that he wanted to enjoy his time with the game, but it just wasn’t happening for the streamer. “I don’t want to be a negative nancy. I just didn’t have any fun playing the game at all. That’s just me,” he stated. He went on to say that his problems with the game went beyond skill-based matchmaking.
Besides Dr Disrespect, other players have been unimpressed with this newestCall of Duty. Many have reported issues with skill-based matchmaking. In addition, several bugs have impacted the competitive integrity of the gameplay experience, such asone glitch that breaks combat shields. As if these problems were not already enough, the game has already had trouble with cheaters ruining online matches.
After leaving his stream frustrated withCall of Duty: Vanguard, it will be interesting to see what the Doc decides to play moving forward. While it might seem like the streamer is done with the game, he has said similar things aboutCall of Duty: Warzone, only to return to the game a few days later. However, several other highly-anticipated first-person shooter games are launching soon for the Doc to try, such asHalo InfiniteandBattlefield 2042.
