It’s an interesting new world forDungeons and Dragonsto explore, and one that players of Magic: The Gathering are sure to appreciate. Both tabletop games have a vast amount of lore, and seeing the two overlap should provide hours of new content for both Dungeon Masters and players. Plus,D&Dis always open to improvising, so there’s sure to be some interesting homebrew content for the setting on the horizon.
Mythic Odyssey of Therosis slated to release on July 20, 2025, so there are still a few months until players will be able to get their hands on the sourcebook. However, there are two versions of the artwork, one of which will feature more distinctive artwork by Kevin Tong, though it’s exclusive to game stores, so anyone hoping to pick it up on Amazon is out of luck.
Dungeons and Dragonshas plenty of official campaignsout there now, and more release pretty frequently. For those that want to play the game without having to create their own worlds from scratch, sourcebooks offer a decent way to do so. Of course, writing a campaign setting does come with some advantages, but at least players are free to choose what works best for them.
Hopefully,Dungeons and Dragonsfans diving intoMythic Odyssey of Theroswill find a world worth exploring, or at least be given the tools to do so themselves. Wizards of the Coast has been doing a good job of giving players fresh new content, which has lead to some awesomeDungeons and Dragonscampaigns. Hopefully, WotC keeps it up well into the future.
Dungeons and Dragons: Mythic Odyssey of Theroswill launch on June 19, 2025.
