Techland’s “Publisher’s Weekend” Sale started today and runs until December 14th.Dying Light,however, is only free to play between today and Sunday, December 11th. After Sunday, players will need to pay $11.99 to keep it permanently. Meanwhile, fans can getCall of Juarez: Gunslingerfor free until the 14th, and players can keep it forever without paying a cent. Other big deals includeDying Light: Platinum Editionfor $14.99, the originalCall of Juarezfor $1.99, andCall of Juarez: Bound in Bloodfor $1.99. Techland’s sale page also draws attention to its 2000 vehicle combat first-person shooter for 99 cents.
All of the DLC forDying Lightis also on sale, ranging from 15% to 80% off depending on the specific item. Additionally, players can get Techland’s 30th-anniversary bundle for $32.29. That bundle includes all of the games mentioned above plus most ofDying Light’sSeason Pass content, indie hack and slashGod’s Trigger,Pure Farming 2018,and theXpand Rallyseries of off-road racing games. According to the Steam page, it would typically cost about $155 to get each item individually, so it’s a good deal for anyone after a complete collection.
Notably,Dead Islandis not currently available at a reduced rate. This is likely because Techland only developed the game rather than publishing it. Anyone wanting to try out the tropical zombie-survival franchise will have to wait until the next Deep Silver sale on Steam. Pre-purchases ofDying Light 2are also full-priced at $60 for the Standard Edition, $80 for the Deluxe Editon, and a whopping $100 for the Ultimate Edition.
The last two details might take some of the wind out of this particular Steam sale. On the other hand, this weekend is an excellent opportunity for PC gamers to grab several Techland Games at a reduced rate. Still, the standout is definitelyDying Light’sfree weekend.
