9Pryce14

This fan art of Miss Cloud Strife byPryce14still has Cloud looking as though he’s ready to deliver a beatdown and has his guns out while wearing his classic purple dress. Don’t let the ribbons fool you, this guy is more than ready to use that buster sword.

This fan art of cross-dressing Cloud byMindcreatordisplays the various new dresses added inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, all of which are more elaborate and fancy than the original purple dress. You can still acquire the purple dress inRemake, but it is classed as the most basic option.

Compared to the more beautiful dresses of Tifa and Aerith, it’s hard to see why Don Corneo chooses Cloud, especially in his plainest dress. InRemake, Don Corneo will always opt for “the big-boned girl” (Cloud), however, in the original PlayStation 1 version, this wasn’t guaranteed unless you fulfilled certain requisites.

6Egooolps

This piece byEgooolpsmixes two fan-favoriteFinal Fantasytitles together, combining Wall Market Cloud withSquall LeonhartfromFinal Fantasy 8. Cloud is wearing his classic purple dress and Squall is wearing his SeeD uniform, prompting fans to imagine a cross-over where Squall meets Miss Cloud at the dance rather than Rinoa.

This art gives the characters softer, more innocent-looking faces, but contrasts this gentle look with its deep colors, creating a suspenseful mood. Cloud has his buster sword at the ready, so he might be willing to put up a fight in order to get out of dancing.
