Redditor CausalLoop25 discovered that if given it, NPCs are actually able to use the 2076 World Series Baseball Bat against the player, with hilarious results. The user discovered this by attacking theFallout 4companionCait, after handing the unique weapon to her. The bat sends the player flying into the air, which is especially dangerous given they’re on a roof. It even plays a small sound of a crowd cheering on the hit. While the clip ends after the first smack, the ending implies that they then got stuck in a loop of being launched into the sky by Cait before dying.
Gamers in the thread compared it to thegiants inSkyrim, which are well known for sending gamers into the sky with their enormous clubs. The similarities are there for all to see, and the comparison is definitely warranted. One gamer had the fun idea to give every settler a World Series bat, and spawn a deathclaw within the settlement. Apparently, this causes chaos to ensue as the deathclaw is batted from place to place by the settlers.
Players have already begun to speculate about the potential details inFallout 5, despite the game almost certainly being many years away.
