Fans who have been waiting for the upcomingMarvel’s Avengersgame got a tiny morsel of information today. It appears that one of The Hulk’s alternate costumes has been leaked after GameStop revealed an action figure that is part of theMarvel’s Avengerpreorder bundle.

Fans already knew thatHulk was going to be inMarvel’s Avengers, but this action figure is the first look fans are getting at one of his alternative skins. The action figure included in the preorder bundle is officially called the “Hasbro Marvel Legends Series 6-inch Outback Hulk.” Outback Hulk is a grey, bearded version of The Hulk, with what appear to be white skin paintings that are reminiscent of Aboriginal Australian art splattered across his face, upper chest, and arms. The action figure comes with two swappable faces and two swappable sets of hands.

The look ofMarvel’s Avengershas already been contentious, and there’s been quite a bit of fanbacklash against the character design. While the studio behind the game has acknowledged fan complaints, it’s said that it’s not planning on adjusting the game. Perhaps cool new alternative skins like this one will show fans that there’s a lot to look forward to in the game, at least visually.

Marvel’s Avengerswas delayedback in January, having originally meant to release on May 15th, but instead being pushed back until September 4th. The studio behind the game, Crystal Dynamics, said that it was delayed because it needed “extra polish before it’s ready for release.” In general, game delays are a good thing, because it gives developers a longer time to work on games, and gamers get a more complete game upon release. On the other hand, the longer a game is in development, the larger the chance that something about the game will leak.

This isn’t the first time a video game retailer has accidentally leaked information about an upcoming game. Just today Dutch retailer Nedgameaccidentally released a trailer for the upcomingCooking Mamagame. But at least this leak gives players another thing to look forward to in this epic look into the Marvel Universe.

Marvel’s Avengersreleases September 4th, 2020 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
