Tighnari becomes the first character to be added to the Standard Banner inGenshin Impactafter almost two years, so it’s quite a shock to know that Dehya is joining him on the Standard roster just shortly after.

It’s still unclear why the developer is adding Dehya to the list of “pity-ruiners” inGenshin Impact, but fans can only hope that she will be a character worth “losing” to. Dehya is a Claymore wielder blessed with a Pyro Vision, which makes her the third character that has this combination, preceding Diluc and Xinyan.

Dehya Best Build In Genshin Impact

Genshin ImpactDehya comes with a new mechanic calledmitigation. Unlike shields that simply remove damage, mitigation instead blocks damage, somewhatsimilar to Xingqiu’s Rain Swords. Unfortunately, as ofGenshin Impact3.5, Dehya is pretty much out of place, where there’s no content she shines in or characters she perfectly pairs with.

Dehya’s Elemental Skill has a poor uptime and trigger time, while her Elemental Burst feels like it has little to no purpose. Therefore, until Dehyacan actually fit into the meta with proper equipment, team, or content, players can settle with one of the following Dehya builds:

Pyro

Since her damage is rather mediocre, players can instead play her as a mitigator, where her Elemental Skill will block damage and increase the active characters’ resistance to interruption. For this build, players should focus on HP while using 4-Tenacity of the Millelith to buff the team at the same time.

Herweapon can either be HP-increasing Claymores, orSacrificial Greatswordto reset her Skill cooldown. Just note that her Gold-Forged Form state, which offers massive resistance to interruption, still has an 18s cooldown, which means players will only benefit from the mitigation with Sacrificial Greatsword.

For players who wish to main Dehya, then they should know thatATK Timepiece is still a better option for her DPS, even on C1. This means HP artifact is not that significant and players should instead focus on other stats like Crit, ATK, and Energy Recharge.

DPSDehya would need her Elemental Burst restoredeasily, which sadly can’t be done on her own. Therefore, Energy Recharge and battery characters would come a long way in supporting DPS Dehya.

As for her artifacts,Lavawalkeris the best option, but it’sonly viable in Monopyro team. In other team comp, players can opt for amix of Crimson Witch of Flames with ATK +18%or Tenacity of the Millelith for extra HP.

Those who don’t want touse Thoma for a Burgeon teamcan instead use Dehya, built on Elemental Mastery. Just note that she has a poor Skill uptime on C0, where players will have 8s without her Pyro application. Her 2.5s proc also means there may be some wasted Dendro Cores before her Skill triggers Pyro.

Additionally, her Skill will hit all enemies that are attacked in the time frame, butif only one enemy is attacked before the Skill triggers, then only one Pyro hit will appear. This meansDehya may be clunky to trigger Burgeonwith.

For the uptime issue, players can either:
