The futuristic post-apocalyptic title is again covering a completely different genre, this time an action RPG hack and slash with roguelike elements. According to the game, a strange natural disaster called The Hollows has taken place, unleashing an enemy faction called Ethereal on the world, where a new group of heroes has to rise up against them and save what’s left.Zenless Zone Zerohas had multiple beta tests, giving players early access to the game, though details remain relatively slim. However, a new trailer has given fans another look at the upcoming ARPG.
Debuting atSony’s first State of Play event for 2024, the latest trailer forZenless Zone Zeroshows off the urban environment where the game is set, a massive city known as New Eridu. The stylish footage shows off fast-paced combat, fluid animations, and wild effects, which seems to lend credence to HoYoverse’s claims thatZenless Zone Zerowill feature “a one-of-a-kind art style.” The footage also clearly differentiates it from HoYoverse’s other games, which are not as dynamic and fast-paced as whatZenless Zone Zerois showing off.
Zenless Zone Zero Confirms PS5 Launch
For PlayStation fans, the big reveal came at the end of the trailer, which confirmed thatZenless Zone Zerois in development for the PS5. While no doubt exciting for many fans, the news shouldn’t be too surprising considering that bothGenshin ImpactandHonkai Star Railhave also launched on the PS5. However, it’s unknown ifZenless Zone Zerowill be available on all platforms when it launches sometime in 2024 or if PlayStation fans will have to wait a bit longer following the launch on mobile and PC.
Without a true release date set, HoYoverse has commited to a general 2024 launch window and there’s still a lot that fans don’t know about the upcoming ARPG. News has been relatively slow going, though with a release window sometime later this year, information should be coming sooner, including details on more character like thelatest confirmedZenless Zone Zerohero known as Anby.
