So far,Halo: Master Chief Collectionhas been an interesting journey. The game launched in a pretty rough state, withmatchmaking issues and bugsplaguing the early experience. However, with regular updates and dedication from 343 Industries,Halo: Master Chief Collectionhas become an experience worthy of Xbox’s most iconic franchise. And now,Halo: MCCis allowing players to relive the glory days of the playground.

Right now,MCCplayers are able to play a special Freeze Tag mode as part of the Winter Contingency event. The game mode allows players to freeze each other with modified versions of the Covenant Focus Rifle, steadily slowing players down until they’re stuck in place. Frozen players will steadily thaw, but teammates huddling around them will make the process go by considerably faster. The team with the fewest frozen members at the end of the round wins. Alternatively, players can capture a flag to score a victory for their team.
