Along included in the piece was a brief interview with Renner in which he talked about the relationship between Barton and Bishop in the show, in addition to hinting at some aspects of the story. Renner revealed that Bishop isa die-hard fan of Hawkeyeand he describes her as having “a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her.” He explains that their relationship grows from that point of her admiration for him but that Bishop will also be bringing a lot of trouble into Barton’s life as a now-retired superhero.

Hawkeyewill follow the same new release schedule asLokiwith new episodes airing on Wednesdays following its premiere on November 24. The series is created by Jonathan Igla with all the episodes being directed by Rhys Thomas and the directing team of Bert and Bertie.Hawkeyewill also star Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Florence Pugh reprising her recent roleas Yelena fromBlack Widow.

This year has certainly been spoiling MCU fans with the endless content debuting. Ever since the premiere ofWandaVisionback in January, fans have barely had enough time to react to one Marvel project before another one is released. Now with the confirmation of the release date forHawkeye, it’s clear the spoiling will continue for the rest of the year. It does feel likeHawkeyewill be a smaller scale project that might be lost in the shadowof such big stories asLoki. However, there is a lot to get excited about in the series. The return of Yelena is thrilling, especially after the enticing post-credit scene inBlack Widow.

But the most exciting aspect is the introduction of Kate Bishop. She has been a fan-favorite character for years and Steinfeld feels like the perfect actor to bring this character to life in the MCU. It also hints that Renner’s time in the MCU is likely coming to an end with this series serving as his farewell. While it will be sad to say goodbye to yet another original Avenger, it seems like the title of Hawkeye will be kept in good hands.

Hawkeyewill debut on Disney Plus on June 03, 2025.
