The world ofBaldur’s Gate 3is so immense and complex that no one can experience everything it has to offer in one or two playthroughs. The game contains so many secrets that many may remain hidden due to players being oblivious to their existence. One such secret is that players have the ability tochange their campsite in Act 3.
The guide below details the exact steps you will have to take to access a more unique camp location than most of theBaldur’s Gate 3community. After reading the steps, you will understand why most players missed this elusive campsite.

Where is the New Campsite Located
The first step to discovering a new campsite is to know where it is situated. Upon reaching Baldur’s Gate, your initial task should be tohead to the Elfsong Tavern, which is adjacent to the barracks. The old hideout of the Emperor is also located here; visiting the hideout is crucial if youwant to romance him.
Here’s How To Unlock A Room At The Tavern
After heading inside the Elfsong Tavern, speak to the half-elf innkeeper and moneylender, Alan Alyth. He will tell you that due to thegruesome murder of Duke Stelmane, which was committed above, he can’t seem to rent out the entire floor.
The whole scenario is hurting him financially, and he hopes that once things calm down, people will forget about the murder and start renting again. This is where you come in, ashe also asks you to rent a room there, which he hopes will motivate other folks to rent rooms in the tavern.

Your next task is quite simple, as all you have to do is select the following dialogues:
you may negotiate with Alan to bring the price down, but why exploit an already beaten innkeeper?

After the exchange, you will be able to use the second floor of the Elfsong Tavern as your campsite in Act 3. However, there is a catch. The tavern will only serve as your base as long as you are in Baldur’s Gate. If you leave for Rivington, the base camp willreturn to the default one.
