Best estimates put theGrand Theft Auto 6release date in 2024 or 2025, so it’s hard to say exactly when fans will get their first look at the highly-anticipated open world game. While fans wait for an officialGrand Theft Auto 6trailer, they can check out a concept video that imagines what the game could look like if it were built using Unreal Engine 5.
YouTube channel TeaserPlay has made a name for itself by releasing concept videos imaging various games in Unreal Engine 5. One of its most recent videos is all aboutGrand Theft Auto 6, with TeaserPlay sharing their ideas for the game. The video shows off some highly-detailed cities, focused on the old rumor thatGrand Theft Auto 6will have multiple cities.

The video starts off by showing Vice City, which is highly likely to be the actualsetting ofGrand Theft Auto 6when the game launches. It then shows off other cities recreated in Unreal Engine 5, like San Fierro fromGrand Theft Auto 5and Liberty City, which was featured in the critically-acclaimedGrand Theft Auto 4.
The video ends by revealing that the game is set in 1986. This also goes with some previous leaks that claimedGrand Theft Auto 6would be a period piece. Those leaks later evolved to claim thatGrand Theft Auto 6would be set across multiple decades, though it seems Rockstar’s ambitions have been reigned in a bit. More recently, the rumor is thatGrand Theft Auto 6will be set in modern day Vice City, though nothing official has been announced.
And while it seems thatGrand Theft Auto 6won’t have multiple cities at launch as was previously believed, it’s looking like the game will get more cities post-launch as DLC. The latest info is that Rockstar Games is going toexpandGrand Theft Auto 6by adding new cities after launch, which should go a long in way boosting the game’s longevity and making sure gamers are playing it regularly.
As for when fans will get to playGrand Theft Auto 6for themselves, that remains to be seen. As previously mentioned, therumoredGTA 6release dateis some time in 2024, so fans likely have a long wait ahead of them.
