Set between the events of the first and thirdIndiana Jonesfilms, the game is a first-person action-adventure title with third-person segments that sees Indy embark on a globe-trotting quest to uncover the mysteries of the titular “Great Circle.” Along the way, players will use Indy’s iconic bullwhip to attack enemies and transverse the environment as they solve ancient puzzles and avoid deadly traps.

Now Bethesda has revealed the voice behind the lead character ofIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, and it is someone that most modern gaming fans will easily recognize. Troy Baker is stepping in for Harrison Ford as the fedora-wearing archaeologist, as reported byEntertainment Weekly. MachinesGames’ co-founder and lead game designer Jerk Gustafsson discussed the casting choice and praised Baker for capturing Indy’s charm and sense of humor. “He’s also a very bigIndiana Jonesfan, which is super cool," Gustafsson adds. “So he’s also very invested in the game.”

Troy Baker is a name that comes up often in the world of video game voice acting, as he has performed in numerous titles throughout his long career. He is most famously known for playingJoel Miller inThe Last of Usfranchise, with some of his other big roles being Booker DeWitt inBioShock Infinite, numerous characters in theBatman: Arkhamseries, including Robin and Two-Face, and Snow Villiers inFinal Fantasy XIII. Interestingly enough, Baker portrayed Nathan Drake’s brother Sam in theUnchartedseries, which is heavily influenced byIndiana Jones.

Judging from what can be seen in the briefIndiana Jones and the Great Circletrailer, it looks like Troy Baker is doing a great job in channeling Harrison Ford as the legendary treasure hunter. The rest of the game’s confirmed voice cast includes Marios Gavrilis (the German voice ofBruce Wayne inGotham Knights) as main antagonist Emmerich Voss and Alessandra Mastronardi as Gina Lombardi, an investigative journalist who will serve as Indy’s companion on his latest globe-trotting journey.
