Don’t Nod Entertainment, known for creating theLife Is Strangefranchise, has released the trailer for the new gameLost Records: Bloom & Rage. This isone of seven games that Don’t Nod has in development, along with puzzlerKoiraand a still-unnamed action RPG.
Founded in 2008,Don’t Nodis recognized for its work in the narrative adventure genre, particularly the first twoLife Is Strangegames. Don’t Nod’s newest lineup of games will further showcase its storytelling prowess, starting withLost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Don’t Nod released the first trailer forLost Records: Bloom & Rage, which gives a glimpse of the female protagonists' memorable summer in 1995 in their hometown of Velvet Cove. Narrated by Swann, who is one of the main characters, the clips in the trailer are taken from her camcorder. Towards the end, she says, “If you find this video, it’s because I’m dead.”

Apart from Swann,Lost Recordswill also feature three of her friends, named Kat, Nora, and Autumn. According to the synopsis, players will experience the four teens' summer memories, from making music videos to discovering mysterious places in Velvet Cove. After a suspected fallout, the gang reunites 27 years later to confront a secret that they buried during that fateful summer.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rageis expected to be released in late 2024. Don’t Nod is already dropping a number of teasers on its social media pages, which players can check out to get an idea about the game’s characters and world. It’s also unlikely forLost Recordsto be episodic.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage’s story seems like it’s taking some notes from the firstLife Is Strange’s mystery angle, sans the time traveling abilities (based on the trailer at least). With four characters, it will be interesting to see how thechoice-based gameplaywill affect their lives throughout the game. There’s also the question of whetherLost Recordswill allow players to switch between the characters, similar toGTA 5andUntil Dawn, or if Swann will be the sole playable character. But Don’t Nod fans will have to wait and see for news and updates in the coming months.
