The original trailer ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2debuted at a PlayStation Showcase event in 2021, but Insomniac Games did not reveal a ton of information about the game. Fans only got to see a short teaser, and the developer has not fully showcasedMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’s gameplay. Despite the lack of news, the game will reportedly launch sooner than some fans may have expected.

A writer working at Insomniac Games updated their personal website to confirm a Fall 2023 date forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2. The website has since been updated to simply say 2023, and Sony is yet to confirm a launch window for the game.
As with every rumor or leak of a similar nature, fans should take this news with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation about the game’s launch date from Sony and Insomniac Games. Still,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is currently scheduled to launch sometime in 2023, and many AAA games do release in the Fall season. Players should also note that whileInsomniac Games reiterated a 2023 release forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, video games are often subject to delays.
Coincidently, the store page forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2briefly went live on the PlayStation Storebefore getting taken down. Some fans were also able to add the game to their wish lists, but it didn’t feature any previously unknown information. The relative proximity of these incidents may hint at a release date being revealed fairly soon.
