Proving that there are still so many unique things that can be done inMinecraft, one user has shown a clip of their build, which is pretty clever but also quite trippy. With itsdeconstruction of video game open worlds, not to mention its near-infinite replay value, and the endless possibilities afforded to players, Mojang’s sandbox title has dominated the gaming landscape for well over a decade now, selling a couple hundred million copies to date. With so many fans still engaging in its blocky universe, it’s not surprising it’s still at the top.
Although so many people continue to play, and have for years, there are those who have yet to experience whatMinecrafthas to offer. It’s probablyone of the best Christmas gifts any gamer could receive, as there is so much to see and do that those who load it up often find themselves lost in the game for hours on end. From imaginative builds to elaborate redstone contraptions, there isn’t much that hasn’t yet been done, and there is always more to uncover.

Take Reddit user neonbluediamond, as an example. In a recent post, they uploaded a clip of something they’ve been working on inMinecraft. The brief video shows a set of wooden stairs, at the top of which sits a large block of gold. Signs at the bottom say the player will win if they can reach the gold. However, when climbing the stairs, it becomes apparent that it’s impossible to get to the top. When the player then turns around, they find themselves back at the bottom, only now there’s a room that wasn’t there before. When they enter this dead-end room and turn around again, the stairs have reappeared before them. It’s all very clever, and while neonbluediamond hasn’t said exactly how they achieved it, they said it was created using command blocks.
This is one of many ways that fans are continuing to showcase what can be done inMinecraft. It’s not just command blocks or built structures that help with longevity, as the modding community is also helping to extend the game’s life. There are a lot of custom modifications out there, such as the recently releasedMinecraftmod that allows players to brew their own beer.
Although the end goal is todefeat the Ender Dragon inMinecraft, it’s the creative potential that keeps players coming back for more. The title’s powerful crafting and building mechanics have provided so many hours of entertainment for players, and it begs the question of whether the gaming community will ever grow tired of the blocky world.
