The first season ofMythic Quest: Raven’s Banqueton Apple TV+ earned decent reviews, with particular praise given to its more dramatic episodes. The show has proven popular enough for a second season to be greenlit, but now it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer than expected to start binge-watching new episodes ofMythic Quest.
It was confirmed on Twitter by Rob McElhenney,Mythic Queststar and creator, that production on season 2 is shutting down for now. “We are working on a plan to make sure no one misses a paycheck,” McElhenney explained in his announcement. “These are strange times and we need to take care of each other.“Mythic Questseason 2 is just the latest TV show to shutdown in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, with production halting on projects likeFalcon and the Winter SoldierandNetflix’sStranger Thingsseason 4.

It’s unclear whenMythic Questseason 2 will resume production. The world is just at the beginning of thecoronavirus pandemic, and at this point, it’s difficult to gauge just how long the virus will impact every day life. Some coronavirus delays will just last a couple of weeks, but others, as is the case withMythic Questseason 2, have been delayed indefinitely. Rob McElhenney will likely share more information when he himself has a better idea of when production will resume onMythic Questseason 2.
As for whatMythicQuestseason 2 will be about, the end of season 1 made it pretty clear what one major focus of the next season will be. However, to discuss that we will have to delve into somespoilersfor season 1, so anyone that has yet to watch the series should turn back now if they want to go in with fresh eyes.
In thefinal episode ofMythic Questseason 1, Poppy is promoted to be the co-head of creative alongside McElhenney’s character Ian Grimm. At first, this seems like it will bring unity to the development team at the heart of the show, but it’s clear that it will cause serious issues instead. Ian and Poppy will likely be at each other’s throats throughout season 2, and that should create plenty of interesting scenarios.
