Twitter user crushovitz_b shared a video of theCyberpunk 2077Easter egg, which is found on the game’s main menu. In the top right corner, where the game’s current version is located, the number will occasionally flicker to show the number 2.0.77, a small reference to the game’s title. The current version isPatch 2.12 forCyberpunk 2077, but it’s presumed that this Easter egg will work on any version of the game going forward.

The post sparked responses from two members of staff at CD Projekt Red. One ofCyberpunk 2077’s producers, Monika Janowska, commented, “Finally! Super happy it was found!” while associate game director at CD Projekt Red, Paweł Sasko, claimed, “I started to doubt you chooms will ever find it! Was hidden way too well.” Neither developer revealed exactly when it was added to the game, so it’s entirely possible that this is aCyberpunk 2077Phantom LibertyEaster egg, rather than a base game one.

Work on the sequel toCyberpunk 2077is underway, although its release is still expected to be years away, with CD Projekt Red also developing the long-awaited follow-up toThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Recently,Cyberpunk 2077’s director commented on the possibility of future updatesto the original title, confirming that smaller bug fixes may still be on the way for the game. Although it was made clear that players won’t receive anything on the scale ofPhantom Libertyin future patches toCyberpunk 2077, it’s good to hear that CD Projekt Red isn’t leaving the game behind entirely.
