The Play Pokemon twitter account announced the rewards for aPokemon SwordandPokemon ShieldMystery Gift promotion that will lead up to the release of the DLC. Players can obtain variousGalarian Pokemon, PokeBalls, and other fun goodies from this event.

Mystery Gifts were introduced to thePokemonseries since Generation Two when players could receive room decorations or other items. WhenPokemon SwordandPokemon Shieldwere initially released, Mystery Gift codes were more common for players to obtain. Now, Mystery Gifts are returning, but for this event, codes aren’t needed to unlock the prizes.

These new gifts can be picked up by accessing the Mystery Gift menu in anyPokemon SwordorPokemon Shieldgameand selecting the ‘Receive Via Internet’ option. Players will receive different gifts based on the week that they obtain the gift. Each week, players can collect a different Galarian Pokemon coupled with other extra items as Pokemon fans count down the days until theIsle of Armor DLCis currently scheduled to launch at the end of June.

From May 21 to May 28, the Mystery Gift will include a Galarian Mr. Mime along with a Heavy Ball, a Lure Ball, a Moon Ball, and a Dream Ball. Starting on May 29 and ending June 4, players can receive a Galarian Ponyta as well as a Level Ball, a Friend Ball, a Love Ball, and a Beast Ball. June 5 to June 11 brings with it a Galarian Corsola with items like a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, a Chipped Pot, a Cracked Pot, a Whipped Dream, and a Sachet. After June 11, players can obtain a Galarian Meowth along with 50 Big Nuggets and a 100 XP. Candy L.

Fans of these games have a lot of exciting new content to look forward to in the next month as the release ofPokemon Sword and Shield’sDLCapproaches. With more Pokemon from older generations confirmed in these additions, those PokeBalls can soon be used to catch Pokemon that are new to the Galar region and expand players’ Pokedexes so fans can soon catch them all on the Nintendo Switch.
