Now, it has been confirmed that The Shredder, the infamous villain of theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesfranchise, is the second free DLC character being added toNickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The character was revealed alongside the announcement that he is available in game starting today.
Along with Shredder’s inclusion to the roster, Ludosity also confirmed that a new stage based on the Nick game showDouble Dareis also being added to the game. This addition creates a total of 21 stages in the game, all ranging from familiar locales from franchises likeAvatar: The Last AirbendertoInvader Zim. TheTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesfranchise is represented by three particular stages, ranging from the rooftops to the sewers, and one particular stage which is based on The Technodrome, the Shredder’s lair from the original 1980s cartoon.
The Shredder, real name Oroku Saki, is the leader of villainous Foot Clan, and the longest-running arch-enemy of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, thus making his inclusion in theAll-Star Brawlvery expected, but welcome nonetheless. Curiously, the latter two Turtles, Donnie and Raph, are not part of the initial lineup of characters inAll-Star Brawl, though Leo, Mikey, and even April O’Neilare front and center across all the game’s marketing. Perhaps they will be added to the game as paid DLC as part of Ludosity’s plan to support the game post-launch.
While it may be a while until more substantial additions to the game are included, such as long-desiredvoice acting for characters, this is an exciting update for fans of bothAll-Star Brawl, and the series the character represents.
