Several big names are in the running for the acting awards at this year’sOscars, including some actors who were a part of the more commercially-successful projects of the year 2022. There are four categories where actors can be honoured for their performances: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor in a supporting role, and Best Actress in a supporting role.

In less than two months, theOscarswill take place in Hollywood’s iconic Dolby Theatre, with award-winning talk show hostJimmy Kimmel returning to host the 95th Academy Awards. It will be revealed soon who gets the acting accolades for their performance in 2022. Some actors in the running are Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Angela Bassett, Colin Farrell, and Brendan Fraser, among others.

After the filmEverything Everywhere All at Oncewas released, Yeoh received praise for her performance from fans and critics. She has now become the first woman who identifies as Asian to be nominated in the Best Actress category. It took 95 years for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognize the work done by an Asian actress, something that fans are talking about today.
