In a strange series of events, every player in anOverwatch 2match agreed to a “redo” after a Doomfist player unintentionally jumped off the map. WhileOverwatch 2matches sometimes have problems with toxic players ruining the gameplay experience for others, this recent highlight shows that wholesome interactions can also be found in the game.
Overwatch 2has 36 heroes, each with unique moves to learn. While many of these characters have high skill ceilings for players willing to put in the time to master them, some are harder to get acclimated with than others. One of these morechallenging heroes inOverwatch 2is Doomfist. While the tank has a number of satisfying moves, they can be hard to pull off in the middle of battle, as one player recently found out.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Hoenirson shared a highlight from a recent match in which everyone decided to give a Doomsift player a “redo” after the hero committed suicide. The clip began on the Garden section of Lijiang Tower, amap inOverwatch 2. Hoenirson used the replay viewer to view the embarrassing play of Doomfist. From high above the map, the camera watched the tank leap toward the objective, covering an impressive amount of ground. However, things did not go as planned for Doomfist as he miscalculated the jump, sending him plummeting into the abyss.
Following this embarrassing series of events, the other players on the eliminated Doomfist’s team decided to walk off the edge of the map. While these players might have chosen to reset and go in as a full team, things took an even stranger turn once the players on the enemy team started to do the same thing. One by one, the kill feed lit up with the deaths of each player. This remarkable display of wholesome behavior provided the Doomfist, who accidentally killed himself, with a redo.
Unsurprisingly, manyOverwatch 2fanshave seen the humor in the highlight and have commented on the strange series of events. Impressively, the clip already has over 6.2K upvotes, with a number of gamers joking about Doomfist’s accidental death. In addition, some gave props to the rest of the players for resetting. “Ahh, this is the good side ofOverwatch,” one user said.
Interestingly, this is far from the only clip gamers have posted to Reddit involving Doomfist. In addition to this strange “redo” on the Lijiang Tower map, another fan shared a clip revealing thatDoomfist can accidentally kill teammatesby punching an enemy Wrecking Ball into them. As fans continue to playOverwatch 2, hopefully, this wholesome interaction between both teams in Hoenirson’s game will inspire other acts of sportsmanship in the future.
Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
