ThePokemonfranchise is one of the biggest monster-collecting properties in the world, featuring around 900 different pocket monsters for players to capture and interact with. Many fans, unsatisfied with just collecting Pokemon in-game, choose to incorporate these creatures into their daily lives as well. OnePokemonfan is taking advantage of this craving forPokemon-themed items to create custom Wooper-themed Xbox controllers.
Wooper is a Water/Ground-type Pokemonintroduced in the Gen 2Pokemongamesas an inhabitant of the Johto region. It has no arms and walks on two stubby legs, but appears to be a primarily aquatic creature. A pair of purple, gill-like protrusions on either side of its oval face give it a slight resemblance to an axolotl salamander.

Redditor cesar0900 recently shared photos of a custom Xbox Series X controller modeled after Wooperand its evolution Quagsire. The controller features a solid deep blue background that appears to be meant to evoke the feeling of being underwater. A pattern of swimming Woopers and paddling Quagsires is printed on top, creating the illusion that the Pokemon are swimming over the controller’s surface. The Woopers are shown printed in very light blue with touches of pinkish-purple for the gills, while the Quagsires are a slightly deeper blue on the body and dark blue for the fins.
This isn’t the first timePokemonfans have customized controllers, but it may be one of the most atmospheric. According to cesar0900, who runs the custom controller shop CesarsGarageDesigns, the image was applied using hydro dip. This design can last between five and 15 years under normal circumstances, although heavy abuse will see it wear off sooner. Apparently, the controller is also sealed with a layer of clear coat to keep the design safe, so it could well last quite a while.
Wooper is rather famousfor being a playful and sometimes mischievous creature on thePokemonTV show. Schools of Woopers have been shown hanging out together in ponds and wetlands, splashing around and shooting Water Guns at each other. They are often seen in large groups, which follow each other around in the water and on land. This pattern of behavior may explain why cesar0900 chose to display so many Woopers and Quagsires on the controller design, although it doesn’t look like any of cesar0900’s Woopers are using moves. The small Pokemon do seem to be enjoying the current, however. Meanwhile, many of the Quagsires appear to be taking a nap.
