Many of the legendary Pokemon fromPokemon’s history have been added toPokemon GOover the years. However, not every Pokemon has been officially added while some can only be found via going through the game’s files.

It is unknown when these Pokemon will be added toPokemon GO. The legendary Pokemon from Generation 6 and onward will likely be released as their generations are added toPokemon GOwhile those in already implemented generations will likely be added during events.

Since every legendary Pokemon has its fans, there are plenty of players who would want to see these Pokemon added to the game properly, even if they won’t be actively used in battle.

The following legendary and mythical Pokemon have not been made officially available at any point for players inPokemon GO:

Pokemon Hoopa

For generation 6, the following legendary and mythical Pokemon will likely become available, but currently aren’t inPokemon GO:

When Alolan Pokemon other thanAlolan formsare introduced intoPokemon GO, these legendaries aren’t likely going to be too far behind.

Finally, there’s likely going to be a lot more legendary Pokemon coming fromthe Galar region, but here are the ones that will need to cross over once Galar properly comes toPokemon GO.

While it is likely that Victini will be getting special research tasks to unlock like Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi, Manaphy is a bit of a troubling case. What could happen for Manaphy might have players walking tohatch Manaphy’s egg. Of course, Manaphy’s egg would likely take far more kilometers than any other Pokemon.

This also has Phione being a problem to implement inPokemon GO. In the original games, players could obtain Phione bybreeding a Manaphy with a Dittoin a Pokemon Daycare. However, there is no daycare and no breeding inPokemon GO. Developers for Niantic would likely have to get creative in order to not just have this duo as raid bosses.

The issues involving Manaphy and Phione could be why Victini and Meloetta haven’t been added toPokemon GOas of yet. This wouldn’t be the first time Pokemon implementation into Pokemon GO proved to be difficult, as Smeargle is still not in the game as well. This is likely due to Smeargle’s signature move, Sketch, which allows it to permanently copy a single move from any Pokemon.

It may be a while untilPokemon GOmoves on to adding Pokemon from Generation 6, but it’s hard to tell if these leftover Pokemon will be implemented by the time that happens. SomePokemon GOfans wantPokemon from specific generationsto come all at once instead of sporadically as seen with what’s been happening with Generation 5. It’s hard to tell what Niantic will do for the future, but it’s always important to note who’s been forgotten so far.

Pokemon GOis available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
