This isn’t the first time thatPokemon GOhas held an event honoring a specific region from thePokemonfranchise. As some may recall, Niantic hosted a Kanto-themed event in 2018 that went a long way in helpingPokemon GOplayers fully complete theirGen 1 Pokedex. Moving forward, it’s likely that Niantic will continue to host region-specific events as a way to helpPokemon GOplayers complete their Pokedex.
The Sinnoh region isn’t the only thing be celebrated by aPokemon GOin-game event this month. The game is also celebrating Valentine’s Day by havingWoobat as the Field Research Breakthrough reward, so fans should keep that in mind as well.
