There are some species of Pokemon that are the same species and have the same base stats, but look different. Pokemon that have different appearances are classified as Pokemon with different forms. This is similar to gender differences, in which one Pokemon may have different tail shapes or patterns. Unlike gender differences, most Pokemon with form differences can be male or female. Shellos is a Pokemon with different forms that debuted in the Sinnoh region, thus it’s only natural it would appear inPokemon Legends: Arceusas well.
Two types of Shellos exist in thePokemonworld: West Sea Shellos (pink) and East Sea Shellos (blue). InPokemon Legends: Arceus, trainers will have access to a Request from Anthe of Jubilife Village’s clothing store. This isRequest 45: Shellos of the East and West, and, as trainers may have guessed, it entails showing the West Sea and East Sea Shellos to Anthe.

Starting Request 24
Before trainers can start Shellos catching for Anthe, they’ll need to have completedRequest 24: Inspiration from Hippopotas.Anthe’s second Request,Request 45: Shellos of the East and West,becomes available once trainers are set to go to the Cobalt Coastlands.
Completing both of theseunlocks more clothing in Jubilife Village’s clothing store.
West Sea Shellos
The West Sea Shellos is the pink-colored Shellos, and it’s the first one that players can catch. Exploring thefar-south of the Fieldlands CampinObsidian Fieldlandsacross the river will lead toSandgem Flats. Evenfurther south of Sandgem Flatsis the coast where West Sea ShellosandWest Sea Gastrodon can be found (refer to the yellow Poke Ball pin on the above image).
Trainers looking to get the West Sea Shellos should be careful of the Alpha Snorlax.It’s recommended to have the Ride Wyrdeerso that trainers can speed right by it in case they’re detected.
If players are lucky, there may be a Mass Outbreak of West Sea Shellos in Obsidian Fieldlands. This is when a Pokemon species appears more frequently at certain spots in the wild.
East Sea Shellos
The blue Shellos, East Sea Shellos, can’t be found until players have made some progress inPokemon Legends: Arceus' main Missions.They’ll need to have unlocked the Ride Basculegionin order to reach East Sea Shellos' habitats.
East Sea Shellos can be found inTranquility CoveorSeagrass Haven(refer to Star pins on the above image).
Don’t try swimming out to either Tranquility Cove or Seagrass Haven without Basculegion.East Sea Shellos is purposefully locked to force players in making progress inPokemonLegends: Arceus' Missions.
Once both Shellos are caught, return to Anthe in Jubilife Village and show her both Shellos.
