Pokemon Scarlet & Violetreceived mixed reviews upon their release, but that didn’t stop the games from selling millions of copies. The two titles have received content updates, which have mainly included new Tera raids. Thankfully, it was confirmed thatPokemon Scarlet & Violetwould get two DLCs: Teal Mask and Indigo Disk.

Both are part of the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion pass. Out of the two, Teal Mask was released in September, and it introduced many new Pokemon. They have unique designs and abilities, which will definitely draw the attention of the fans. While the designs of the Pokemon are always appreciated, it is the abilities that make or break a Pokemon.
8Mind’s Eye
Mind’s eye is a new ability that is unique to the Bloodmoon Ursaluna. With Mind’s Eye, the Ursaluna ignores any kind of change in the opposing Pokemon’s evasiveness. So Ursaluna’s accuracy won’t be affected no matter how much the opponent tries to lower it.
The biggest talking point of Mind’s Eye is that Ursaluna canhit Ghost-type Pokemonwith Normal and Fighting-type moves. This can be a potential game changer and will make Ursaluna even more sought-after in Teal Mask.
7Supersweet Syrup
Dipplin is the latestevolution in the Applinline. It is a Grass/Dragon-type Pokemon, and it has a unique ability called Supersweet Syrup, which causes it to release an extremely sweet scent.

The fragrance forces the opposite Pokemon’s evasiveness to drop. It is activated when the Pokemon enters the battle. While the ability definitely has its uses, the other new abilities in Teal Mask are better.
6Hospitality
Sinistcha and Poltchageist are two of the new Pokemon that made their debut in the Teal Mask DLC. Poltchageist’s tale was covered in a separate video that was uploaded on the officialPokemon YouTubechannel. They are both Grass/Ghost-type Pokemon, which is not a bad combination by any means.
Sinistcha and Poltchageist have Hospitality as their ability. Whenever the Pokemon joins the battle, it restores asmall amount of the ally’s HP. This particular ability can prove to be extremely useful in 2v2 battles, both offline and online.
5Toxic Chain
Teal Mask brings a trio of Pokemon known as the “Loyal Three.” It consists of Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. According to lore, the three Pokemon fought against Ogerpon and stopped it from causing any problems for the people of Kitakami.

Toxic Chain is a rather powerful ability, and it can cause serious poisoning to the opposing Pokemon. In order to activate the ability, the Pokemon simply needs to land an attack on the target. It is worth remembering that it does not have a 100% chance of activation.
4Embody Aspect (Teal Mask Ogrepon)
Ogerpon is the face of the Teal Mask DLC, and it is arguably the most mysterious Pokemon in the game. It has various abilities, and they depend on what mask it is donning. While wearing the Teal Mask, Ogerpon’s Speed is boosted.
In its regular form, Ogerpon has Defiant as its ability, which causes its attack to increase by two stages whenever its stats are lowered.
3Embody Aspect (Wellspring Mask Ogerpon)
While wearing the Wellspring Mask, Ogerpon’s Special Defense stat increases. This ability is only activated when Ogerpon is Terastallized.
When Ogerpon is in its normal form, it gains Water Absorb as its ability, which increases a small part of the HP whenhit by Water-type attacks. Using the Wellspring Mask also changes Ogerpon’s type to Grass/Water.
2Embody Aspect (Hearthflame Mask)
The Hearthflame Mask is one of the four types of masks that Ogerpon can wear. Like the other masks, upon wearing the Hearthflame Mask, Ogerpon’s form and type change. Using the Hearthflame Mask turns Ogerpon into Grass/Fire-type, and its regular ability changes to Defiant.
Due to this ability, Ogerpon’s moves are not affected by the opponent’s abilities. When the Pokemon Terastallizes, its attack stat is boosted thanks to its Hearthflame Mask.
1Embody Aspect (Cornerstone Mask)
The fourth and final type of mask associated with Ogerpon is the Cornerstone Mask. It changes the Pokemon’s type to Grass/Ground-type, making it susceptible to taking hefty damage from Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Steel-type moves.
While wearing the Cornerstone Mask, Ogerpon’s regular ability becomes Sturdy. When the Pokemon is at full HP, it gains full immunity to one-hit KO moves.In its Terastalized form, Ogerpon’s Defense stat increases.
