TheResident Evilfranchise has a morbid obsession with tainted youth and lost innocence, reflected in its young characters, like Sherry Birkin and Eveline, as well as its use of childhood imagery, from creepy dolls to full-blown fetuses. The DLC toResident Evil Village, Shadows of Rose, is no exception to this.

Midway throughResident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose, players willreturn to House Benevientowhere they will be once again stripped of all their items. Upon exiting the elevator and proceeding down the hallway to the Workshop, Rose is presented with the Purifying Crystal before it vanishes in a flash of light, replaced by her childhood toy – a stuffed animal – on the table.
This guide will show players what to do with the stuffed monkeyin order to get the Relief of a Child and progress further inResident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose.
Finding The Clue For The Scissors
Enter the Medicine Room adjacent to the Workshop and head through the white door inside. This will lead players to a hallway that they can follow around to reach a crack in the wall inResident Evil’s creepily quiet house. Inside on the right is adrawing of a monkey being cut open by scissors.
On the back of this note is the following clue:“The stuffed locker, the picture on the bookshelf, the desk covered in stuff.”
From here,enter the Study and find the combination lock on the cabinet in the corner. Using the clues, players can find the correct code by searching all the places that the note mentions and entering the code in that order.
Finding The Code For The Locked Cabinet
Firstly, players will want tosearch the stuffed locker to the right of the cabinet by the door. Inside are the numbers 02.Be prepared for a small jumpscarehere asShadows of Rosepulls out all the stops to scare the player.
Next,look for the framed picture on the bookshelf to the left of the cabinetbut right of where players entered the room. On the back of this photo is the number 44.
Thirdly, the desk covered in stuff may be foundin the darkened corner of the room, to the right of where players entered. The number 66 may be found written on the floor beneath the desk.
Finally, go to the locked cabinet andenter the combination 024466and retrieve the scissors from inside. Now, players can head back to the Workshop and use the scissors on the stuffed animal to obtain the Relief of a Child and beginthe Doll Diorama Puzzle inShadows of Rose.
