According to a new rumor,Avowedcould be targeting a Q2 2024 release window. Obsidian Entertainment’s first-person action-RPGAvowedwas one of the first next-gen only games revealed for the Xbox Series X, but not much has been seen of the game since its initial announcement trailer. With so little revealed aboutAvowedsince its announcement, fans may not be surprised to learn that the game will apparently not come out until 2024 at the earliest.

While there have beenleakedAvowedscreenshotsshowing the game in action, fans have otherwise not seen anything about it since the initial reveal trailer, which debuted nearly three years ago at this point. Xbox fans keep their fingers crossed that they will get to see more ofAvowedat every big show, but the events come and go with no sign of the highly-anticipated action-RPG.

Now Spanish YouTuber eXtas1s, as pointed out by Alt Char, has claimed thatAvowedis looking to release in Q2 of 2024. If this information is accurate, then that means Xbox fans still have quite a long wait ahead of them to get their hands on the game. Unfortunately, this also means that it’s highly unlikelyAvowedwill make an appearance at the upcomingXbox and Bethesda developer showcasethat’s scheduled to take place on January 25.

Xbox is hosting a developer showcase on January 25 to highlight some upcoming Xbox console exclusive games. Xbox fans will have to tune in to the event to see all of what’s in store, but the event is expected to focus on games aiming for release in the first half of 2023, like co-op vampire shooterRedfalland the newForza Motorsportgame. While it’s possible the event will have some surprises in store, it seems highly unlikely thatObsidian’sAvowedwill be a part of the presentation.

IfAvoweddoes release in Q2 of 2024, then one would imagine that the game will make another appearance at some point later this year. Assuming Xbox plans on being at E3 2023, it would make sense to give the game it’s big re-debut at the show. Alternatively, Xbox could use The Game Awards 2023 in December as a platform to show offAvowedagain. Of course, this is all assuming that the Q2 2024 release window is accurate information. It’s entirely possible that this info is incorrect, and if so, it may be an evenlonger wait for Xbox fans to seeAvowedagain.
