As if Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine wasn’t enough of a name to have inDeadpool 3, it looks like Ryan Reynolds is now looking to add some extra star power to his MCU debut after admitting the lengths he’d go to for a Taylor Swift cameo in the movie.
Deadpool 3is already one of Marvel Studios' most exciting films for the near future thanks toJackman’s return as Wolverine, but it’s unlikely that he will be the only surprise Reynolds has planned for Marvel Studios' sole R-rated superhero. Recently, the actor admitted he actually wasn’t the one who made the move to ensure Logan would enter the MCU, but rather it was Jackman who called him, although he is definitely willing to take the initiative in order to gain the favor of every Swiftie out there.

This revelation came during an interview withEntertainment Tonight, where Reynolds addressed rumors of Swift appearing inDeadpool 3. The rumor was started due to Swift using the same location forAll Too Well: The Short Filmthat Reynolds did when he unveiled Jackman’s Deadpool3 casting. Even though Reynolds shot down that theory, he did confess his entire household isobsessed with Swift’s latest albumMidnights, and as such he’d love to have the singer appear inDeadpool 3, saying, “I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius.”
Besides her own short film and music, Swift’s acting career can be summed up in a few minor roles in movies such asValentine’s Dayorthe much-deridedAmsterdamthat was released recently. That said, her appearance inCatsis her most prominent part. Having Swift in the MCU would certainly give Reynolds plenty of bragging rights, and it’s not hard to imagine Deadpool being a hardcore fan who would sing any of her songs.
It’s a well-known fact that the Swift army’s might is arguably second only to the BTS army, so having the artist play either a fictional role or herself in the movie would only add to its marketability. After all, this wouldn’t be the first time the MCU adopts small pieces of modern pop culture as part of its own world, with Marvel Studios' other fourth wall-breaking character,She-Hulk, becoming acquainted withrap superstar Megan Thee Stallion.
Jackman’s inclusion was obviously a no-brainer for Kevin Feige, and possibly the same rings true for the pop sensation who recently conquered all top 10 spots in the Billboard 100, withsingles like “Anti-Hero” propelling Swifton every platform.
