Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill are coming together once again in Colin Trevorrow’s upcomingJurassic World: Dominion, and they decided to celebrate the glorious reunion as only they can: by aggressively being themselves.
Sam Neillposted a video on Twitter featuring the New Zealand actor and his pal Jeff Goldblum singing the Tony Bennet golden oldie “I Remember You” in their own uniquely charming way. With Goldblum on the piano, the duo broke into the song with the gusto of two confident and inebriated lounge singers. The two buddies sang together, frequently punctuated by various Goldblum sounds, and ended with a smile that would soften a statue.

Though Neill and Goldblum have both made appearances throughout theJurassic Parkseries,Dominionwill mark the first time since the original film where the two will actually share the screen. Neill last appeared as Dr. Alan Grant inJurassic Park IIIwhile Goldblum more recently showed up again as Dr. Ian Malcolm inJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Neill and Goldblum will also be joined in the film by Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, thus fully andfinally reuniting the main trio from the original film. Unfortunately, Dern didn’t join the two other doctors in their mutual serenading session, so fans will have to wait a bit longer to see them all together again. Cast members from the more recent films will also be making a return, including Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), Justice Smith (Franklin Webb), Daniella Pineda (Zia Rodriguez), and Jake Johnson (Lowery Cruthers, who notably did not appear in theJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom).
Jurassic World: Dominionis significant for being one of the first films to go back into full production since the pandemic began, and whilethings have obviously been a bit shakyto say the least, development appears to be moving along as smoothly as can be expected. So for now, that charming little video may be all fans have to cling to during the waiting period. But for many, it may be enough. These are two of the most charming men in Hollywood, after all.
It’s a rather nice change of pace to see actors as excited to return as audiences are to see them again, especially whenthe opposite is often the case. In a time where tensions are running so high, little moments like this may be just what some people need to more easily make it through the day. So here’s hoping the cast and crew involved stay safe and production onJurassic World: Dominioncan continue smoothly.
