After you complete the Community Center or JojaMart, you’ll have the chance to begin the Dark Talisman quest, allowing you to access the blocked cave north of the Train Platform in Pelican Town. How to Unlock the Dark Talisman Quest in Stardew Valley
To unlock the Dark Talisman quest, you’ll need to firstcomplete all the Community Center Bundles, or finish upgrading JojaMart.Both of these will take some time to complete, so if you haven’t finished them yet, you’ll need to spend a bit of time gathering the required materials.
Upon completing the Community Center or JojaMart, you’ll need to wait for the next day for the upgrades to take effect. Then, you’ll want tovisit the Train Platformin the northernmost region of Pelican Town, just after the Carpenter’s Shop. A cutscene will immediately begin when you get here, with the Wizard standing in front of the blocked-off cave in the north. He will tell you about how he used to be married, and his ex-wife stole his magic ink.He will ask you to get it back for him, beginning the Dark Talisman quest.
How to Complete the Dark Talisman Quest in Stardew Valley
After talking with the Wizard, the first thing you’ll need to do isvisit Krobus in the Sewers.The Sewers will become available to you once you havedonated at least 60 itemsto the museum, and you receive the Rusty Key from Gunther.
Krobus will be on the right, where you can tell him about theDark Talismanyou’re looking for, and he’ll open the tunnels on the left in the Sewers for you to explore. The entrance will beright next to the Statue of Uncertainty.This is the Mutant Bug Lair, a short area you’ll need to venture through until you finda small chest at the end.When you first arrive here, take a right and then just head forward until you reach the end where the chest is located, and you’ll receive the dark talisman from here.
Now, with the dark talisman in your possession, you canreturn to the Train Platformand visit the blocked tunnel. You’ll want to place the dark talisman here, and then you’ll be able to enter the Witch’s Lair.
Inside the Witch’s Lair, you’ll come into contact with a Goblin blocking the entrance into the Witch’s Hut. This will begin theGoblin Problem quest, which you’re able to find a guide for here.
